Academic Article
Publication Date:

abstract:
Uveitis has been associated with many systemic diseases. The authors' patient, a 33-year-old black woman, developed severe anterior uveitis involving lacrimal gland, orbit and sclera. Extensive medical investigations were negative except for a highly positive PPD test. Acid-fast bacilli were shown from conjunctival specimen. Specific antitubercular treatment was followed with a remission of ocular uveitis.
