abstract:
This paper focuses on the way the man could be fascinated by the catastrophe, and even laugh about it. It refers on these novels and plays that describe situations before or after the catastrophe, by utilizing a tragicomic style: Dr. Strangelove by S. Kubrick and Waiting for Godot by S. Beckett. In these works, the catastrophe changes from being a structural element of the tragedy to a simple content of a comic mise-en-scene.
