Cittadinanza globale e partecipazione attiva: un'indagine tra gli studenti del Lazio

Given the emergence of new conceptions of citizenship, educational agencies – schools first of all – have the responsibility to promote the development of a global consciousness. In this paper, a preliminary study conducted in secondary schools in the Lazio region is presented to explore students’ visions and experiences related to citizenship. Through the investigation of three distinct dimensions of this construct, an active and participatory definition of it is proposed, characterized by a marked global, terrestrial, ecological and conscious nature.
