Existence and classification of NMDS codes over GF(5) and GF(7)

Abstract:

The maximum lenght of a NMDS [n,k,d]_q code is denoted by m'(k,q). It has been verified that m'(4,7)=14 and m'(5,7)=13. Moreover the NMDS codes of sizes m'(5,5), m'(6,5), m'(7,5) and m'(4,7) have been classified.
