This chapter explores diversity management within the Italian Public Administration (PA), using the Italian National Social Security Institute (INPS) as a case study. It analyzes the theoretical principles and practical applications of diversity management, with a focus on the role of soft skills and the implementation of inclusive policies. This chapter highlights how INPS integrates diversity man-agement into its human resource management processes, providing an overview of the challenges and opportunities in this field. Through the analysis of documents and interviews, it offers concrete examples of recruitment policies, training, and the creation of inclusive work environments.
