A lot is been said about the role of the human body in the nursing practice:the patient’s body isn’t simply an object to apply care practices, therapeuticand rehabilitation, but it should be seen as an “embodied subject”, full ofexperiences, ideas and expectations.Throughout the care procedure, the nursing professional comes into contactwith the body of the patient, a living person full of emotions creating aninteraction between patient and care worker.Reflecting upon the theoretical concept of nursing care, much significanceis placed on to the theme of the cure for the patient considering theirbio-psycho-social multidimensionality, but in the reality of the working environmentit is difficult to witness the systematically application of thesetheories.The primary motive for presenting this work resides in the interest of providinga key to stimulate, review daily operations and epistemological reflectionon the founding principles of nursing.In fact, the concept of the body, not being an object, is equally applicable to that of the nurse and evokes their experience in a new sense, more broadand deep.
