abstract:
This work reflects about the videogame as medium, by trying to demonstrate how it must be considered in a wide anthropological discourse, beyond its official date of birth (the first Seventies) and also the so-called "electric age", going back to the first kinds of access to the hereafter: drugs and religion. The videogame is the best nowadays metaphor of the undying human impulse to survive and last forever, an emblem of the simulation culture.
