Promuovere le competenze digitali negli insegnanti in formazione. Alcuni risultati del MOOC “Digital Storytelling”

The paper aims to present the results of a pilot experience of promoting digital competences within in-training teachers carried out at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in the academic year 2020/2021 and realised through the use of the Digital Storytelling MOOC of the Erasmus+ DigiCulture project (Improving the digital competences and social inclusion of adults in Creative Industries). The MOOC, assigned to more than 100 students participating in the Educational Research Methodology laboratory and designed in 5 modules, aims at soliciting the digital skills of Information and Data Literacy, Communication and Collaboration, Digital Content Creation, according to the DigComp 2.1 model, through content related to Digital Storytelling learning strategy. A pre-test and post-test self-evaluation survey and a final knowledge assessment test were used for collecting data about the pilot experience: the self-perception of Navigating, searching and filtering data, information and digital content, Integrating and reprocessing digital content and Collaborating through digital technologies skills improves in a statistically positive way within participants (p < .05), who obtain an average of 8.9/10 points (St.Dev= 1.5) in the final assessment test.
