Abstract:
The outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 has redefined healthcare practices globally, revealing intricate connections between systemic and oral health. This review explores the impact of COVID-19 on the oral cavity (O.C.), focusing on viral transmission, oral manifestations, pathophysiological mechanisms, and clinical implications. By examining the molecular processes of SARS-CoV-2 infection in oral tissues and the potential for therapeutic interventions, this review underscores the importance of oral hygiene and the role of dental professionals in mitigating viral spread and complications.
